Twizel River at Picnic Area
The Twizel River is monitored for recreational water quality at a picnic area located off Glen Lyon Rd to the North of the Twizel township. This site is monitored for recreational water quality during the summer months only.
This site is surrounded by willows. There are some picnic amenities nearby and walking tracks along the river amongst the willows. The river has some pooled areas for swimming ,and picnicing on the banks. Parking is located in an area near the road with a track down to the river.
