An objective is a goal that needs to be met to ensure that an identified value is maintained. Objectives can be narrative (written in words) or numeric (written in numbers). Objectives can relate to ecological responses (such as variables that will affect ecological responses, e.g. dissolved reactive phosphorus concentration needs to be less than 0.006 mg/L).
