Thames, southeast of the Firth of Thames, has one monitoring site at Thames High School.

Thames’s one active residential PM10 monitoring station, at Thames High School in the vicinity of Richmond Street, was established in April 2016. PM10 is measured using a BAM 5014i.

Air quality monitoring began recently in April 2016 and so far there have been no PM10 exceedances recorded. It is expected that PM10 concentrations will peak on winter evenings during cold, calm conditions as a result of poor dispersion of emissions from home heating using wood. Seasonal data will be shown in the graph below as more data is collected.
