Oakura River
The Oakura River drains a mainly agricultural catchment. It is relatively short, rising in the nearby Kaitake range and the north-western area of Te Papakura o Taranaki. The river flows beside the small Oakura town and the historical Oakura Pa near the river mouth, before discharging into the sea.
