Clyde

Clyde is a small town in Central Otago, close to Alexandra. It is nestled in a sheltered basin at the foot of the Clyde Dam, New Zealand's third-largest hydroelectric dam. The town is in an area renowned first for gold, then for stonefruit orchards, especially in the Earnscleugh district.
