Ngunguru River
The Ngunguru River originates in Waipaipai, to the west of the Tutukaka Coast, and flows through the Glenbervie Forest out into the Ngunguru Estuary.
Half of the Ngunguru catchment is pastoral, with the rest a mixture of pine and native forest. The Ngunguru River catchment is approximately 53 square kms and the river is 17 km long. The monitoring site is situated in the lower reaches of the river on Coalhill Lane.
