Manawatū-Whanganui region

The Horizons Region covers a vast area with a diverse landscape. In fact, at 22,215 square kilometres, it makes up 8 per cent of the nation's landmass. The Region covers a large part of the central to lower North Island, stretching from Ruapehu to Horowhenua and across to Tararua. It is home to various landscapes, from mountains and ranges to fertile coastal floodplains.
