This site on the Avon River/Ōtākaro is next to the rowing and kayaking clubs. It was a popular rowing and kayaking site pre-earthquakes, however, the ramp down to the river was badly damaged in the earthquakes. There is now a pontoon next to the rowing and kayak clubs, and the site is being used more frequently by kayakers. There is plenty of parking available next to the pontoon and kayaking club. This site adjoins Porrit Park. The water quality at this site can be affected by ducks and Canadian Geese.
