Patumahoe

Patumahoe is a town surrounded by mostly rural land near Auckland's southern boundary.

 

Pukekohe is in the Franklin Local Board, located at the southern edge of the Auckland Region. It is a rural service town for the Franklin area. The fertile volcanic soil and warm moist climate supports a large horticultural and dairy farming industry.

Patumahoe station was established in October 1996 and we currently monitor NO2 , O3, PM10 and PM2.5.

Air quality is good. Air pollution sources are mainly from residential home heating (during winter), vehicle emissions (particularly at busy roadside) and agricultural activities. The monitored O3 concentrations meet national environmental standards for air quality. PM10 concentrations usually meet national environmental standards for air quality.
